Quick Check-In on Health & Work Progress – Vlog Challenge Day 9

Hey there! I got my vlog set up with the text below in case you’d rather read than watch. Everyone’s out of the house at the moment so I figured what a great time to get another one done!

A lot of you know that I’ve been seeing doctors a lot lately. Right now, I’m done seeing them and everything seems to be ok. Yes, she’s gonna live… look out world!

A big thing I’ve figured out is that the more time I’ve been away from work, the better my health gets. As you know, my boyfriend and I drive for a living, typically as a team. That means that we’re in a semi-truck that’s literally moving and vibrating 24/7. On top of that, we don’t get a ton of sleep and truck stop food is NOT on the top of anyone’s 10 healthiest places to eat (although we did figure out some ways around that which has been improving both our health).

We’ve been off truck since the end of January so he’s looking for a job (he decided on one today) that will be a balance between my not wanting him away from home for 5-7 weeks at a time and his not wanting me to get back on a truck because he hates what it does to my health.

The goal is to give me a bit more time during this month and next to get my Niche Research Packs done and run a WSO to see if there’s enough of a market for them to keep me off the truck permanently.

I’ve thought about offering my editing services as well to people who are focusing on Kindle books. I probably have at least 50 books on my phone. It drives me crazy every time I go to read one because I pick up so fast on the spelling and grammar errors! Thanks mom!

So just my 2 cents but if you’re publishing on Kindle or anywhere else, make sure to find someone you know or hire someone who’s great at spelling, grammar and typos and have them read through your work. It WILL pay off I’m sure, even if you still end up with a few.

The blogging challenge is going great. I’ve got tomorrow’s post to write, my freebie to put together. I’ve given up the possibility of going to 100% of the posts and sites. I’m going to the ones that interest me, figuring if we all do that, there will be people landing on most if not all of the new posts.

I saw Tiff’s post today and I’m with her on the whole avoidance of “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours”. It just makes me feel icky!

Anyway, I hope you all have a great rest of your day and an even better weekend!
