Niche Research Packs – Update and Thoughts

I’m still working on setting up new packs for the WSO I plan to run for these. And in the process of chatting with Britt Malka last week, she gave me a great idea for another place I can offer them as well.

One more technical thingy to add to my list of stuff to do once the packs are ready… Oh yay!

Anyway, while I was researching what I wanted to do for my next two packs, I found a really great niche segment inside the relationships niche that has great search numbers and really low competition.

That’s always fun and exciting. Even though it’s not a niche that remotely interests me in pursuing, I know that a lot of people out there absolutely love that niche, so it should turn out to be a really great pack.

When I started creating these and did the Eating Healthy niche pack, I started with the idea of making sure that people could use them to build their sites the way they wanted, regardless of whether they create or outsource mini-niche sites, medium size sites or they’re building large authority sites.

No matter what, there’s enough information and keywords to be able to segment it up or down.

And that got me thinking.
Quick BusinessThe majority of people that I talk to nowadays, while they’d like to eventually become an expert in their niche, would also like to see some quick results in terms of Google rankings and, especially, in income. After all, that’s why most people are building niche sites. Even if it’s a topic that you’re passionate about, most people would eventually like to monetize.

So, the two packs that I am currently working on are going to be more focused towards the small to medium size niche sites, rather than the authority sites. Personally, I think those will be more useful to more people because if you’re building niche sites, chances are you’re going to know what you’re doing by the time you’re ready to turn it into an authority site and, unless you’re outsourcing and building at a very rapid pace, you’re going to want to do another keyword search at that point anyway.

So, I’m off to work on getting all this together! If you haven’t already picked up the original pack I used as a test, be sure to download your copy (it’s a gift) over at Niche Market Sites. And if there are any niches in particular that you’re working on, feel free to include that in the suggestion box over there!
