Customer Service DOES Exist!! – HostGator, DLGuard, & ThemeSheep

All I can say is….WOW! I’m gonna make this as quick as possible so I can get back to reading and doing the steps to start ranking. Over the past two weeks, I have regained my belief that there ARE businesses & people in existence out there who DO still provide excellent customer service that goes above and beyond. When I started my blog and working thru Tiffany Dow’s PLRATM course 5 weeks ago, I was using LunarPages as my hosting service. I’d been using them for a few years for smaller sites that my son and I had been creating. Their customer service had always been great to work with. Tiffany was recommending HostGator.com. I had used them for only a while several years ago and I just didn’t know how to use their site, so I cancelled the service with them. However, in moving on to bigger and better site creation, I started doing some different setup and found myself contacting technical support at LunarPages. After several issues, I got frustrated with their support and decided to follow Tiffany’s suggestion and see if HostGator.com had changed at all. They have! As I mentioned in a previous post, I’ve been working with them for a couple of weeks. My contact with them had been via their online ticket system so it was taking time to get notes back and forth with them.  Last weekend I was home instead of on the road, so I decided to use their online chat system.  It absolutely rocks! I started with a tech guy who walked me thru some fixes. When you’re done talking with them, you have the option of having the transcript of the conversation emailed to you. I had it sent as it’s really great to have it when you start walking thru what they told you to do and you forget something they said. Well, the fix didn’t work…so back to online chat. I got a different tech guy. He was at a lower support level and it didn’t take long before he bowed out and sent me to the next level of support. When I got there, I told the guy who answered that I had been talking with a different tech guy earlier. Since I had his name in my chat email, he was able to get me back to him and save me some explaining time. How cool is THAT!? So, within a few minutes, he had me all set up and I was back to adding links and such. I LOVE HostGator.com tech support!! Thanks so much Michael Wa.!! Then it was on to DLGuard. I sent a note to Sam Stephens and asked if he provided, as a service, assistance with installing DLGuard to our sites. After several weeks with tech support at HostGator, I just didn’t want to figure something else out. It’s just not the side of productive I wanna be on!! After a couple of questions and Sam dealing with my “ignorance” about exactly how DLGuard works, he installed it for me and I’m up and running!! Thank you Sam…YOU are my hero!! And finally, while waiting for the technical side to be up and running, I went looking for a theme I could adapt for most of my sites. After all these years of using free themes, I finally found a few that I liked well enough to purchase. One of them was thru ThemeSheep.com. I downloaded and installed the theme, but got a list of errors. I emailed the errors to ThemeSheep support, asking if they knew how to fix it (WordPress theme errors typically send me looking for a different theme, but I like this one a lot). The next day, I got an email with an apology…AND a customized theme! I uninstalled the original and then installed the customized one. More errors. I sent those errors back to Jeremy asking what was “Plan B”, while thanking him for taking the time to customize the theme for me. I just received a custom package 2 today, with an apology for the hassle and an assurance that if it still had any issues, he will look at it again until it works for me, even if that means contacting my web host! So far, I am thrilled with all the folks I’m working with. Thanks for recommending such awesome products Tiffany!! You just don’t find this kind of customer service in very many places nowadays…it’s refreshing!
