So I managed to get some downtime at home this past weekend and it gave me time (like 7p – 8a…yes, he and I tend to be night owls) to start working on site setup for him. Between Bring the Fresh, Info Product Killer, and a couple of really cool tools, I’ve finally gotten his attention. 🙂
While he ran out to pick up food to sustain us thru all this, I started on some keyword research for a list of games he gave me that are launching between now and December. We figured we could set some up for instant purchase (and pre-orders), and the rest will have time to be indexed and ranked in time for Christmas shopping.
When he got back, I’d put some keywords together on a couple of the games so he could get going on site creation. He chose Dragon Age: Origins to start with. He ran into a couple of glitches with WPZonBuilder (the theme it suggests was sending back errors so he switched to another theme) but all-in-all, he was pleased with what he’d put together by morning (and VERY tired!).
So, today and tomorrow, I’ve been assigned the task of adding the SEO stuff and setting up several backlinks. In the meantime, he’s starting on the other 25 or so site names we purchased (we thought that would be enough to get us started and keep us busy for a bit). As he completes each site, I’ll be doing the same thing with them.
